do you have to be registered for one party or the other to vote in the primaries? my boss is not with either party and he does not think he can vote in teh election.

Only registered Dems & Republics can vote for their specific party. Independents had until last week (I think) to change registration to Democrat/Republic, but if you wanted to switch from Republic to Democrat (or vice versa, perish the thought) - you had to do that either 3 or 6 months ago.
