1. You've got 9 days
What can you do right now to make it happen.

Sorry, don't mean to sound all Dr. Philly. But seriously, you've identified a need. What action can you take to get it satisfied.

10. 5 years ago
I just started "dating" after having been married for 15 years. And I hadn't dated much before that.

I tried to meet someone through a theatrical group I was active with, then got my heart stomped on and still had to see that person all the time, so I decided not to try and date someone in that group, because if things don't work out...

So I did the online thing. Met 3 or 4 people, no one was interested in me.

Went to speed dating. Didn't get a single match.

I decided to try one last online date - and that was the one. and we've been together since.

Don't give up. You never know what's going to happen at any given moment.

2. Be your own person.
Besides, open your eyes. Look around. We're not a society anymore and people aren't what they're not going to fight for anyway.

Be yourself.

Be happy.

It's all we can do.

7. I have a pretty full and happy life, for the most part
it's not the end of the world that I don't have to share it with... it's just all the reminders out there, you know?

4. I hear ya...
But, better to be alone than in a miserable, soul-sucking, hurtful relationship just for the sake of being with "someone". That's my theory anyway.

8. I agree
but jeez... lots of other people don't have to settle for one end of the spectrum or the other. Some people find someone to share with.

9. You will, too.
As will I.

And we'll appreciate it far more than most.
