2. And the problem with that? |

Go down for Southern Decadence and you'll see them wearing even less (so I have been told).

5. Love Southern Decadence |

and the weather is more predictable except for the occasional Level four hurricane. Yes they do tend to show the flesh and do things in the streets that piss off the christians. Wear less, do more. Funny but they never get upset about the stuff that the straight folks do down towards Canal Street.

6. Waiting to see if your new gov is 'Christian' enough to try to stop it ... |

never been to Mardi Gras or Decadence, but when he was elected I got the vibe that he would try to "Disney-fy" the party(s).

is gonna get put through the ringer when he takes on the state legislature with his charade of ethics reform and Mardi Gras in the quarter is sacred ground. There are plenty of family oriented parades and even family friendly zones so everyone should be happy. Over the weekend Metarie had Family Gras and thats fine and dandy, just don't fuck with the folks who want to party hearty in the Quarter.
Come on down. And don't forget Jazzfest. And for a really, really big gay event Halloween probably tops them all, so to speak.
FYI, I live in Mississippi but just across the border. Just about 55 miles from my driveway to my parking spot on Decatur Street.

As Terry Bradshaw might say - "thats funny." I'm in the majority. I think about 99.9 percent of Americans should not be seen scantily clad.
