"There Will Be Blood" -- new movie now in my all time top ten!

Has anyone else seen this yet? It's very remarkable, strange, gut wrenching and thought provoking.

I saw it over the weekend and haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

I think it will definitely be in the category of what I think are the all time top ten greatest films.

Daniel Day Lewis is amazing. He plays a real son of a bitch in this movie and does so very convincingly.

2. I have a new theory about that character

Most of the reviews mention he is a ruthless "robber barron" and represents, if anything, greed.

After thinking about it a lot, I think he is actually a symbol for science. Anyway, it's a thought provoking film, and Lewis is indeed amazing.

3. My daughter has seen it 8 times

She is raving about it, but it doesn't cross the pond until 2/14. Guess I have to wait.

It's just that thought provoking, but in a very visual, visceral way.

6. She is completely obsessed with this movie

but then again, it doesn't take much to get her obsessed about much of anything. I can't wait to see it! I really like DDL, he is a fine actor that we don't see enough that often.

5. I really liked it, though thought it was a trifle too long

But it was definitely a great character study and Day-Lewis gave an outstanding performance.
