1. I'd rather have the 32GB iPod touch. |
|
I like the iPhone but I fucking hate AT&T and I refuse to patronize them.

3. I'm happy with my 8Gig Touch... |
|
I have about 500 Gigs of music/movies so I don't even think of taking all of them with me. I just have a smart playlist that uploads the last 5Gigs of music iTunes played. And I manage video by hand since I have to convert it with iSquint first.

6. I don't really need a new phone... |
|
...but I want that iTouch. I'm thinking that sometime before Christmas they'll come out with one in the 60-80gb range. Then, I'll jump ship. Until then, my 160gb iPod will just have to do.

7. The thing that I love about my 80G iPod is that I can fit my entire music collection plus |
|
audiobooks and podcasts with lots of room to spare. So I guess I'm holding out for at least a 60G iPhone.

but damn would I like that.
Right now, I think the largest flash based memory drive available is only 64gb.

but they'll carry a huge price premium over even the existing 64Gb drives.

20. I've gotten out of the habit of instant gratification with toys and tools |
|
Since the iPhone is both a tool and a toy, and it goes past my $300 justification point for toys, I'm just biding my time.

25. The $300 limit that I've set for those "toy" purchases |
|
allows quite a bit. I bought an Apple TV last year and still use it regularly today, as I do my TiVO HD. Both came in just under that $300 mark. I never would have bought a TiVo Series 3 because of it's price tag.
For larger purchases, I wait until I have the extra spending money, using credit cards for nothing but travel and emergency use.

saving for larger purchases and trying to curtail spending overall.
This economy has me a bit worried.

I had a Palm Treo, liked it, but the Sync stopped working well when I got an intel mac. Do you hvae syncing problems with your mac at all?
it is seemless with the iPhone, obviously.

33. Well, no, because I don't sync any of my computers with anything. I'm kind of |
|
old-fashioned, so I only use the cell phone to make and receive phone calls. And my music is on CDs, not an mp3 player.
(I only listen to music when I'm in the house or the car; if I'm walking or riding my bicycle, I listen to the world, not music.)

Anyway, I'll make do with my 8GB iPhone until the 3G one comes out next year.
