5. Yes.
If you believe in that whole God creating the world thing who are you to tell me I can't use something God placed on the earth? If you don't then who are you to tell me what I can or cannot put into my body especially if it causes no problems for anyone other than making me buy various snack foods to munch on?

Not that I've ever use Marijuana, mind you--I haven't--, I just think that if we're in a "free" society questions like this shouldn't hold much weight.

Q3JR4.

10. If pot were legal....

I think it would be a lot like the wine industry. You could buy your cheap weed in the stores, have specialty stores that sold higher quality pot and have tasting rooms and areas that were known for their pot. Like Napa or Apple Hill. You can buy wine or apples anywhere, yet people flock to these places because they are known for their crop.

16. Welcome to Fantasy Island! Tattoo, see our guests to their rooms.
This has been a fervent hope/plea since I was young and suckin' weed. Ain't gonna happen in MY lifetime. Good luck in yours. Too many rich folk got a vested interest in keepin' the stuff illegal.

17. Yes, but not just yet
Legalizing marijuana now would be a "cart before the horse" situation. I've said this before to you "legalize it right away" advocates. Time to say it again.

Alcohol is water-soluble; it doesn't get into your fatty cells. If I am a cop and I see you driving like a moran, I can pull you over and test you for alcohol. If you score above the legal "intoxication" level, I can be fairly positive that You're Fucked Up and I can arrest you for driving while in that condition.

Cannabis is a different story--its active ingredients (there are several) lodge themselves in your fatty cells, from where it leaches detectable amounts of THC into your system over a period of days, weeks or months depending on how much grass you use. If you smoke some weed on Friday night, if you were pulled over and tested on Wednesday night you'd show up positive. Are you still stoned? No, but try telling that to the cops.

If they can invent a test that measures actual cannabis intoxication, rather than just that you had some marijuana within the past week and a half, then yes, legalize it by all means. Until then, you couldn't smoke pot if you had a driver's license because the cops would just make excuses for pulling people over to piss test them. "Burned-out taillight? He's stoned." (Then again...all the fines from supposedly-stoned smokers COULD be used to pay for NCLB, decent roads...no, I didn't say that...)
