Some rock stars who are great rock singers are great rock singers because they're singing highly amplified over highly amplified instruments - and the louder the music is, the less in tune it needs to be because our ears cease to differentiate notes as well as at lower volumes.
Bono, apparently, is one of those great rock singers who's great only when highly amplified.
But I gotta give him some credit for taking that on - he's not at all a trained singer, and Pavarotti - obviously - was.
But on the other hand, Bono is so goddamned full of himself it's fun to watch him fall so hilariously in this clip. Jesus, Bono, do you really have to wear those asshole sunglasses and make your asshole rock star movements?

5. I adore Bono, but he should stick to contemporary music. |

He does a better job below. Do you think Pavarotti would sing "One" better? :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgFQZ3VEyVs&feature=related
