Have you ever given cats human-grade tuna? Every cat I know goes wild for tuna.

7. I don't know, but it sure does! |

My cats rarely get any, because the smell makes me retch. Although Heidi and Ginger sent us some Swiss cat food that really wasn't so bad (and the cats LOVED it).
How's it going? Have they come out of hiding yet?

17. You might want to try... |
|
If you haven't already...do you have a room that you could put them in? One that's quiet and small so that they could get used to just one room before they take on the entire house? That could be "their" room...and nobody goes in there except to check on them and feed them once in a while.
Then, once they're comfortable in there, you could make your introductions in their space. They might be more comfortable with that.

It doesn't smell bad, for canned cat food, anyway.
I'm just glad I finally found something he won't puke that's not the Hill's prescription crap.

I put "Fancy Feast" Fish & Shrimp in it. It's really stinky and cats love it.

13. I once read why this is ... |
|
It is that cat's have a quite poor sense of smell for predators. Therefore, they like to eat things with strong odors, and since owners tend to buy cat food based on how much the cat seems to enjoy it and how reliably they eat it, pet food makers make cat food smelly so that your cat will enjoy it, and look like it enjoys it, and so you will continue to buy it.
