1. Did you know they have 16GB flash drives? |
|
This is getting pretty incredible. I might have something to spend my tax rebate on.

3. Do they have 16 gig SD cards yet? |
|
Biggest I've seen in stores is 8 gigs.
I still find it amazing that my first computer had a (at the time) HUGE harddrive... 40 megs. So big that the version of DOS we were running couldn't handle it, and we had to split it into two 20 meg drives. I'd hate to ask my parents how much that cost at the time.
And now I have a tiny little disk/card the size of my thumbnail that can hold 2 gigs that I bought at the store for 17 bucks.

5. Microcenter, Amazon, newegg, have 16GB USB flash drives |
|
starting around $80. It's scary. I thought getting 1GB for $80 was awesome just a few years ago.
Even magnetic hard drives are getting crazy huge. There are 400GB hard drives at Microcenter, probably even bigger now.

9. Right before I moved out of my last apartment |
|
my roommate got a 500 gig harddrive.
Being an artist (both 2d and 3d), he's got thousands of files and backups of all of his artwork. His old 250 gig drive was stuffed to its limit, and then it started conking out. So he figured he needed a new one, he might as well upgrade to one with more space too.

6. I only got an SD card originally because I couldn't find the right cable for |
|
the digital camera I picked up at a pawn shop, so I got an SD reader and a 512 meg card. Then I saw the 2 gig on sale around christmas time and grabbed that up.
Then I found out how good the video quality was on my new camera and how much video I could fit on my 2 gig card, and my first thought was, "Whoa... I have all the equipment I need to start a porn website now..." :P

Details, details.
I actually had a pretty nifty idea for a porn site too... one that would cater to the tastes of the menfolk who'd be watching, but one that managed to cater to that without going over the top and being downright misogynistic like many sites out there (Bangbros, I'm looking at you guys) are.
However, since I've never actually PAID for porn before, I can't exactly threaten to boycott sites like that or anything... :P
