Are the super special bonus points for smashing instruments in Guitar Hero a scam?

I think it's just a way to make you buy more guitar controllers.

However, I want my Gamer score to be as high as possible.

4. If you were really serious about playing, you'd have a rack of guitars setup before you played

everytime. You don't see Jimmy Page play without 4 or 5 guitars now do you? :-)

You'll see your corresponding character do AMAZING tricks with the guitar. I have a 14 year old Guitar Hero genius. I can't play for shite. (seriously, listen to the Hiatt song, he's brilliant)
