I bought me what I thought was a mexicoke not too long ago only to learn it had corn syrup not cane sugar.

It costs a bit more, but it's such a treat. I'm lucky because the Kroger just up the street from me carries it most of the time. :)

I should be sure to drink some while I'm there. I can still remember Coke from before they went to HFCS. This was about 1978 or so. I remember the T-Ball moms bringing Coke to the practices. It tasted so good back then...

when in central america and mexico i just stick with beer these days, i guess i don't have that discerning taste bud when it comes to soft drinks, i never even figured out why coke and pepsi were considered to be different flavors much less the subtleties of sugar cane coke versus corn syrup coke
