I like dogs better than cats |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 07:04 PM by MrScorpio
Because they're the best!
Edit: Reasons
A puppy won't try to scratch the fuck out of you like a kitten will
A Dog would rather hang out with you than play coy games
Your dog is always happy to see you no matter how long you were away

3. Cats don't drool, or bark all day long. |
|
And my cats are desolate if I am away even for five or six hours.
On the other hand, I have a few favorite Bow Wows I visit when I need the dog thing to happen.

Dogs like to roll in shit. Cats are fastidiously clean.
Dogs will eat cat poop and then try to lick your face. I've never seen a cat eat shit.
It is true that dogs don't scratch furniture, but cats don't chew shoes.
I rest my case.

Dogs repel intruders. Dogs chase cats up trees (a tremendous source of embarassment for cats). Dogs are loyal- if your cat runs away from home, he/she will replace you without a thought.

7. And they play with you... you don't just entertain them... |
|
that's a big plus for me.
Also they're trainable.
And they don't shit in the house! That's a huge point in their favor.
And they don't hork up hairballs.
And they don't think they're god's gift...
I could go on all day...

9. A kitty attack won't endanger your life ... Unlike a dog attack. |

Kitties don't stink like dogs.
Kitties don't bark.
Kitties don't slobber.
Kitties don't run up to you and stick their nose in your crotch.
Give me kitties over dogs ANY day! :bounce:
Kitties RULE.
P.S. My kitties greet me at the door. They are ALWAYS happy to see me and snuggle up with me.

14. True. But I'd also note that neither apples nor oranges eat their own poo. |

15. I think we should be requesting a |
|
Lounge-Pet forum... this way you can all go there to fight...
OHHHHH MR. or MS. MODERATOR...
we have 5 cats - 3 dogs
youngest dog is 7 months old - still not house broken the 5 year old dog won't poop in the snow if it touches her butt, so we have shovel out a spot the 7 year old dog will go outside to do his business - but he wants to go out every 15 minutes to piss on a tree or the garden fence
all the cats were using the litter box by the time we brought them home when they were 8-12 weeks old
the cats hack up hairballs, usually at night, and always in a spot where my foot can find it and if not a hairball I'm stepping in it's a present from the pup who is not housebroken
two of the cats think the old coffee table is there personal scratching post - however the puppy thinks the arm of the futon is her chew toy
one of the cats sleeps on my head at night, another bats my face in the morning usually 1/2 hour before the alarm goes off to remind me I have to get up in a 1/2 hour to feed them
another cat thinks shredding toilet paper is a fun game, the pup prefers shredding whatever she can pull out of the trash can
Do you know what the best thing about them is? It's when you are bummed out, feeling miserable or just down in the dumps and they curl up in your lap, or lay down next to you and just love you
