It's my first year teaching 12-year-olds, and I've been sick three separate times so far this year. This latest sickness has given me a 100 degree fever for the past three days. I feel just bad enough to want someone to hit me on the head with a mallet.

Usually my company does flu shots, this year they only sent out an e-mail saying they were available. In years past they posted all kinds of signs.

I didn't get it this year, and I wish I had.

I got the flu around Christmas, and the congestion never really cleared up completely. This year's strain was miserable.

They say you can't get the same one twice, but the symptoms sure looked alike from where I was standing...and then a nasty-ass sinus infection on top the second go-round...

Oh well, with a real live bacteriological infection (as opposed to viral) they can give ya antibiotics...still takes ten days though.
