I need an off-beat, different, even lewd love poem for this weekend
Going to a party where we have to recite a love poem. Can anyone recommend something unusual?

1. short one
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
This one doesn't.

2. Just recite? Or memorize and recite?
This one's certainly different.

Be Near Me
by Faiz Ahmed Faiz
Translated by Naomi Lazard

Be near me now,
My tormenter, my love, be near me—
At this hour when night comes down,
When, having drunk from the gash of sunset, darkness comes
With the balm of musk in its hands, its diamond lancets,
When it comes with cries of lamentation,
with laughter with songs;
Its blue-gray anklets of pain clinking with every step.
At this hour when hearts, deep in their hiding places,
Have begun to hope once more, when they start their vigil
For hands still enfolded in sleeves;
When wine being poured makes the sound
of inconsolable children
who, though you try with all your heart,
cannot be soothed.
When whatever you want to do cannot be done,
When nothing is of any use;
—At this hour when night comes down,
When night comes, dragging its long face,
dressed in mourning,
Be with me,
My tormenter, my love, be near me.

3. Just recite
I was thinking of using this one by Charrles Bukowski, but I like yours better.

Raw With Love

little dark girl with
kind eyes
when it comes time to
use the knife
I won't flinch and
I won't blame
you,
as I drive along the shore alone
as the palms wave,
the ugly heavy palms,
as the living does not arrive
as the dead do not leave,
I won't blame you,
instead
I will remember the kisses
our lips raw with love
and how you gave me
everything you had
and how I
offered you what was left of
me,
and I will remember your small room
the feel of you
the light in the window
your records
your books
our morning coffee
our noons our nights
our bodies spilled together
sleeping
the tiny flowing currents
immediate and forever
your leg my leg
your arm my arm
your smile and the warmth
of you
who made me laugh
again.
little dark girl with kind eyes
you have no
knife. the knife is
mine and I won't use it
yet.

4. Oh, that's one of my favorites of his
There's this too... There are probably a lot more of hers that would work if you're going for lewd. ;)

There, there

He'd left her two years ago but she could still at night
put her hand between her legs and he would be there on top
of her saying Come for me and when she couldn't she'd
remember the little hotel in Mexico with the round white
tables and folded umbrellas and after they married his
snakeskin boots at the end of the bed with black satin
sheets but still she couldn't come masturbating alone in the
dark, so she thought of standing naked while he held an
open safety pin dragging the tiny sharp silver point
delicately over her breasts, pulling her to the floor where
later she ground broken glass into the cracked red and
white linoleum with her heel, and he would grab her so
hard sometimes she felt she'd never been truly held before
and she said Go further, take me further, and when the
final papers came she got drunk as usual and drove to his
old flat he'd moved back into and knelt on his doorstep
saying his name over and over into the mail slot, through it
she could see part of the hallway he'd led her down once
and tied her up and shaved her and she said Now I'm yours
and she was and he was holding her I love you come for
me and she came, and it was raining and down the hall
of the rooming house someone's travel alarm was going
bleep-bleep-bleep without stopping and there was nothing
to drink and no one to say There, there while she cried.

6. a few by Mason Williams:
"I want to billow
In your thighs
The sweet havoc
To burst beautiful
A moment in you"

"Getting into bed, I cuddled close to her good leg."

"That day she dove in the swimming pool and I envied the water's ability to touch her totally."

and one longer one:

Love Poem No. 2

"Come to me
Do not hesitate
I am not funky

Please be mine
Let our hearts entwingle
Like honeysucker

Jump around me
Scuff my boots
Fingerpoke at me

Skippy-toe by
With owl-growls
And Fa-la-la's

Love with me
All your grits
As I love you"

8. Here's one
I've Never Had It Done So Gently Before

The sweet juices of your mouth
are like castles bathed in honey.
I've never had it done so gently before.
You have put a circle of castles
around my penis and you swirl them
like sunlight on the wings of birds.

9. OH
There once was a man from Nantucket...

or from Sylvia Plath

On Looking into the Eyes of a Demon Lover

Here are two pupils
whose moons of black
transform to cripples
all who look:

each lovely lady
who peers inside
take on the body
of a toad.

Within these mirrors
the world inverts:
the fond admirer's
burning darts

turn back to injure
the thrusting hand
and inflame to danger
the scarlet wound.

I sought my image
in the scorching glass,
for what fire could damage
a witch's face?

So I stared in that furnace
where beauties char
but found radiant Venus
reflected there.

10. I just wrote one in sonnet form
Edited on Fri Feb-15-08 09:28 PM by DarkTirade
I was writing a serious sonnet, and then I decided to be silly and write a dirty one. :P I don't wanna post it here, but I'll link to it.

I have to say... dirty iambic pentameter is not easy. :P

11. Sonnet 90
Then hate me when thou wilt; if ever, now;
Now, while the world is bent my deeds to cross,
Join with the spite of fortune, make me bow,
And do not drop in for an after-loss:
Ah, do not, when my heart hath 'scoped this sorrow,
Come in the rearward of a conquer'd woe;
Give not a windy night a rainy morrow,
To linger out a purposed overthrow.
If thou wilt leave me, do not leave me last,
When other petty griefs have done their spite
But in the onset come; so shall I taste
At first the very worst of fortune's might,
And other strains of woe, which now seem woe,
Compared with loss of thee will not seem so.

13. Roses are Red,
My b***s are blue,
so spread your legs
and I can **** you.

Look, I'm not proud of having this stored in my long term memory, but I heard it at a party a long time ago, and we laughed so hard (did I mention drinking was involved?) one guy literally peed his pants, which made us laugh even harder.

All in all, a positive memory. Shameful, but positive.

17. From Gaius Valerius Catullus...
...this one should stimulate converation...

A Rebuke: to Aurelius and Furius

I’ll fuck you and bugger you,
Aurelius the pathic, and sodomite Furius,
who thought you knew me from my verses,
since they’re erotic, not modest enough.
It suits the poet himself to be dutifully chaste,
his verses not necessarily so at all:
which, in short then, have wit and good taste
even if they’re erotic, not modest enough,
and as for that can incite to lust,
I don’t speak to boys, but to hairy ones
who can’t move their stiff loins.
You, who read all these thousand kisses,
you think I’m less of a man?
I’ll fuck you, and I’ll bugger you.

18. This one seems quite unusual...
Last Night
Making out in the bush...
Last night just after the rain poured
When I called and you told me you’re in the shower
My thoughts were overpowered
I got a situation like no other

My imagination went on a wild race
Thoughts of you and I in pitch darkness
Surrounded by grass and chirping of crickets
The cold air full of sweet scents

You in front and me behind
Nervously trying to find
That cave that lay beneath the mountain
I can’t wait to do it again
