Poll question: Valentine's Day Dinner |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 03:28 PM by LostinVA
Should I make dinner (seafood) or buy dinner & bring home? We have no desire to eat at a madhouse restaurant tonight.
If I buy dinner, I'll be picking it up from a decent restaurant. Not fast food or anything. Both are about an equal drive out of my way.

4. Cooking together is one of the most sweetly romantic things you can do. |
|
That's what we're doing (though not until tomorrow night--we have to wait a day to celebrate together).
I'm (we're) making lobster poached in butter and vanilla bean, roasted asparagus (w/homemade bearnaise sauce), snacking on Cambozola cheese & baguette while we cook. A French walnut tart for dessert, because it's one of his favorite desserts (I'm making that ahead of time to surprise him).

6. I thought about doing lobster, too |
|
Your dinner sounds absolutely delicous, but we're not going to get that fancy.

10. Believe it or not, it's an EXTREMELY easy recipe. |
|
And the poaching liquid is basically the start of a bernaise, so that'll be a cinch to throw together.

8. Once my ex and I were throwing Mrs. Pauls fishsticks onto a baking pan |
|
And he turned to me and said, "I love it when we cook together"
The question is, which feels the most romantic to you?

It's easy to get good seafood around here. I also think it would be physically impossible to get Haruka to eat a fishstick. She's picky.
