A few weeks ago I saw a post here, asking for your favorite Dr. Demento song. I read that most favored was "Bulbous Bouffant", which is a great song. But my fave is "Daffy Duck's Rhapsody." So, I decided to pull my one Dr. D from the stack and give it a listen. It's been several years. And I
was totally blown away by how these songs are so relevant to our situation today. And that all
of them could be dedicated, in old-time radio style, to my friends in certain Forums/Groups here.
So I set out into Youtube to see what I could find. And I found some amazing stuff. I've put it
together here, and dedicate it to you, my friends at DU. Hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed finding it all. This is from Dr. D's 30th Anniversary Collection. I did leave a few out, due
to nothing found on Youtube. But I think that eliminated the ones I never liked anyway. So, for your viewing/listening pleasure, I give you, Demento's Opus, Part I.
'Daffy Duck's Rhapsody' aka Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2, Liszt.
The lyrics are so timely now. It was just a cartoon, and now it is part of some people's everyday lives. And it is making them Daffy.
"It's bang bang here, and bang bang there, bullets flying every where. I can't stand it any longer,
I get weak and they get stronger." Hmmm
