I can just feel the love here! |

Okay being out in the open instead of being in a cube lets me hear interesting things. Especially since I'm not far from the head of the labs office. As usual when having a conference her door was closed. It flew open and I heard her say loudly "We are not done yet!" My immediate supervisor comes flying out and says just as loudly "Yes we are!" and storms off. This is the second time this week this happened. He was 10 minutes late for his annual review a few days ago and when she pressed him on why he said "traffic" (the truth) but she was like "Well I HAD no traffic.." that conference ended the same way as this one except my supervisor came into the lab to talk to us and to "get away from my boss"! Jeebus. No wonder I have hypertension!!

4. I Understand.....When I worked for Kodak, I was the IT manager. |
|
My immediate Supervisor/Boss was an idiot and one of those "Only by the book" Yokels.
Many times one of my IT people (Men and Women) would be 10-15 minutes late during the winter...snow and ice crap.. My Boss would raise hell and fret like a 16 year old that was just told that they couldn't go to the Mall with their friends. I had to REPEATEDLY point out that these IT folks worked until 2 AM handling some "Crisis" and often worked on the Computers (Banks of Servers) for an hour or so on their own time. (We were only allowed a small amount of overtime).
She couldn't seem to understand that these IT folks were constantly going above the "Call of Duty" and deserved a lot of leeway when it came to the "Clock"
What an Asshole!! (and piss-poor Boss)
