Today, I started early.

A very special day (don't ask)

But I've already been to the Cambridge Brewing Company.

I had a Chocolate Chili Porter, a Light amber Ale, and now, I'm home mellowing with some Canadian brewskies.

10. 2 salty dog stories:

1. On our first anniversary (1970) Miz t. and I went on a belated honeymoon. Why 'belated' is a long story.

We went to Mexico.
First Mexico City, then Acapulco.

We were warned NOT to drink the water.
So we 'hydrated' ourselves with Margaritas and beer.
Got tired of that and one night in the hotel bar I said "How about a Salty Dog?"
Miz t. said yes.

Trying to use my rudimentary Spanish I asked for a 'perro con sal'.
The bartender damn near collapsed in laughter.
His English was MUCH better than my Espagnol.
I explained grapefruit juice and gin with a shot of salt.
;-)

2. I served an Australian friend her first Salty Dog.
Next time she was over for drinks I asked her what she was having.
"I'd like another of those Salty Pigs."
