Even the Salvation Army can be assholes

I sold three boxes worth of my vinyl collection today in order to pay my bills.

That means I had an empty record cabinet I'll never fill again.

I took it to the Salvation Army store.

The woman behind the counter said "DOES THAT HAVE A TAG ON IT?"

I said "I'm donating this. I just walked in the DOOR with it."

She didn't say a fucking WORD.

A few minutes later an employee came from the back of the store. She said "He's donating this."

He looked it over and said "It looks like it's in pretty good condition."

I said "OF COURSE IT'S IN GOOD CONDITION. I WOULDN'T HAVE BROUGHT IT IN IF IT WEREN'T."

He said "She'll give you a receipt."

She scribbled some shit on a not pad and handed the receipt to me without a word.

Next time I'll take my shit to Hope Workshop or some other organization that appreciates it.
