While they may be sad for losing the companionship they are probably extremely grateful that their friend is in a loving home with a person like you. You have proven yourself a wonderful person in my book KG. Just think how that makes his former owner feel, knowing that they didn't have to send their best friend to the pound & possible death. I could die in peace knowing my friends were alive and loved.
