5. my daughter watched America's next top model and here is what makes me laugh when it comes to tyra

ok they'll take a pic and then the judges look at it and tyra almost always says "Well when i was a model i would have done it like this" every fricking time but the best, absolute best part of that show is when she says to the wanna be's "Well when i was a supermodel and the other girls were mean to me....." ok the "Other girls" are always Naomi Campbell, even if she claims it was 10 other girls it was really just Naomi Campbell. Now whenever i see a clip of her and she says that it's like subliminal man, she says "Other girls" but all i hear is "Naomi Campbell" As for her daytime show, i have never seen it.

She's most horrid on that America's-next-big-model unreality show.

Back in the day, I was quite fond of her body (from the knees up) and face in the Victoria's Secrets catalog; she helped me endure a sexless marriage until I no longer had to (endure).

I work for the station that airs her show. I don't care for her personally, but she's had some pretty distinguished guest stars...Obama & Hillary for example.

We did a casting call with our station here locally for America's Next Top Model. It was fun, the girls loved it and was excellent practice for them to be on stage in front of a group of a whole mall full of people. I think it's a great opportunity for any young girl to branch out of her shell and take a risk to parade down a catwalk and speak to an audience. It's a great practice for life in general, not just the modeling industry. It's a lesson in confidence.

18. My wife worked with her back in the day

and has nothing but good things to say about her as a person. I watch Top Model for a while because it gave me so amusing sources on insight into some of the weird crap that happened in the early years of our relationship. Translation: I have more stuff to tease her about now.

a positive body image to young women, no matter what size they are. She'll show her own cellulite and say "see-I'm a model and still far from perfect! It's all lighting and airbrushing"! So she's OK in my book.

One of my best friends is also a former supermodel. After knowing her for 19 years and hearing all her stories, I'm amazed that anyone comes out of that industry functioning at all.
