Control freak who hoards information and complains no one shares information with her. Her ideas are never wrong, either you did something wrong or your reagents are bad. From last month:

Her: X will work.
Me: Based on what I found in literature A-T work but there was no mention of X.
Her: X will work.
Me a week later: X didn't work, I suggest we try B, F, or R.
Her: I did something like X 20 years ago with a different virus and it worked. Something must be wrong with the equipment.

Like all her reports, I work on studies run by someone else. As soon as he needs things done right away she suddenly has things I have to do right away that aren't on those projects. A 50 year old trying to start pissing contests that are alienating her. Everyone at the company hates her, but fortunately I like the work I do so it's not a bad job overall. Certainly better than the last one.

My current theory is that she's so bad at communicating and managing projects that it's taken from her and given to someone else who will get things done. Since she doesn't believe that she does anything wrong, and actually believes she's a great communicator, she interprets this as everyone being out to get her or having work stolen from her since someone usually winds up with projects she started.
