1. I job it with a thermometer |
|
put it on top of taters and onions in a pan
cover it with foil
cook at 350 til temp is 180
But I'm a weirdo.
Roast is one of those stupid words ppl use that means different things. Kind of like cook.

9. No- I am learning cooking |

It always pisses me off when the recipe says.
"roast until done"
"cook until juice is clear"
"add taragon to taste"
there are 100s of these :D

you get a bunch of its friends together, get all dressed up in tuxedos, and tell a bunch of funny stories making fun of it. it helps to get really drunk during the event.

:hi: I use about 350 degree oven, and depending on the size of the chicken (3-4 lbs) for time- figure about 1.5 -2 hours. A five pound bird will take longer...so if you can wiggle the drumstick easily- almost to the point where it comes out of the socket, it's done...and believe me, you want your chicken done.
Cover it with foil or use a covered baking dish, and a liquid of your choice. Uncover for the final 20 minutes or so to get a brown crispy skin (if that's what you like)
I like to use a mixture of sherry, lime juice, ginger and fresh-ground pepper ...OR... chablis, thyme, sage, summer savory and fresh-ground pepper. This second mixture will give your place the most incredible, comfortable homey smell... while the first smells fresh, bright, exotic, and gonna-be-delicious.
Both of these make for delicious roast chicken...:bounce: and are easy.
