4. I killed and ate a rattlesnke once..... |
|
My grandpa used to have a lot of snakes on the ranch and we were riding and I saw one. He gave me the 22 and I killed it. We took it back to grandma and she cleaned it, battered it up and fried it. pretty good.

16. A delicacy in The Philippines. |
|
I was a nurse for a while and my co-workers from the PI would routinely bring in great Filipino food like Pansit and Lumpia. On occasions they'd offer Balut. I almost lost my lunch watching people eat those things!!

And that would be sad. Though we could fight the sorrow with extra helpings of anchovies and sardines.

It sounds absolutely gross, but it's supposedly this great thing to eat. I have no desire to try it, but perhaps it is really "special" and my life would be incomplete without it. I don't think I've ever had really good champaigne either.

Brains are supremely tender and yummy. But sometimes I do worry about the calves' ones (and I can't find lambs' ones here). I eschew beef now.
