Another day I didn't get anything done.
I managed to put in a couple of hours earlier today but I have been fooling around all day otherwise. Yesterday I deliberately took the day off. I had a lunch date at noon (first time in forever and it has possibilities too!). I don't know how to make myself do what I need to do. I simply can't do it. It's a good thing I have more time now; at least I get a little done, if only in dribs and drabs. I don't know what is wrong with me. I need to get this done; I am so sick of school. I want my time to be my own again (well except for work time).

1. My dear alarimer...
Well, if you're that sick of school, get off your butt, and finish so you can have your life back!

You can do it...

I'm the same way...

I spend time whining and fussing about how much there is to do...

But once I get down and actually do it, I discover that it just flies by...

Maybe you're afraid of success?

4. I am somewhat of a perfectionist
It makes it hard to get started sometimes.

I just have no self-discipline. I never have. But in high school and college I never really needed it. I just breezed through almost anything (except calculus or chemistry). Now I am writing a thesis that may actually be published in a scientific journal and subject to reviewers (anonymous, thank God). I guess that is scary, now that you mentioned it.

2. You could be me...
...Or I could be you. Except my issue is with tasks around the house, not schoolwork. It's VERY frustrating.

3. Oh I do the same thing with housework
But I just figure it's okay to let that slide, since I am supposed to be doing other things. LOL.

I am not that far from being done. It should only take a day or so. Plus revisions later on, which shouldn't be that big a deal.
