The butterfly was a mural, on wood, painted on the side of a building in Lahaina. I took the shot in case it would make a good tattoo. :-) I had to laugh when I noticed the intricacies later... it would be a very difficult tattoo at that! lol

This time, we were in Maui the last week in Jan. Even though it rained every day, which is unusual btw, we saw more whales than ever! :D

It was interesting, at sunset, watching from one of the cliffs. It seemed like a lot of the whales, especially the young ones, were bidding farewell for the evening.
