1. Comes through town tomorrow, but I think I'll be at work.
I'll have to look at what time they're due to arrive.

7. You could potentially see stages 6 and 7
Stage 6 (on saturday) has circuits at the end of it that you could take in.

11. looks like your chances of rain when the race comes into sacramento
are between 30% and 50%.

If you have the chance, you should go. Bring a rain coat, it will still be a lot of fun.

10. That race shuts down all the small back road traffic near my home
It's easier to watch the race on TV then attempt driving to a good viewing location around Winters and Davis. KCRA channel three did a pretty good job covering the race last last year, so I'll watch it on TV again this year.

Mario Cipollini? Is he pretty enough to wear the yellow jersey?

12. he'll look like this--guy in the black kit
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 09:27 AM by IzaSparrow

he's a sprinter, and just came out of retirement. I'm so excited. It's doubtful he'll win anything at the ToC, as a lot of guys are getting tuned up for the Spring Classics (Boonen, Bettini, Freire, et al).

We don't have cable, so I am reduced to reading the race reports on cyclingnews.com. Mehx(

edited for clarity

20. Yes, I do have a suitable mountain bike for winter
Braking is insane with just pad breaks (have an old klunker due to the salt on the roads), the pads need to defrost before they grip.

Of course in St Paul just this weekend I saw someone with a decent mid-range Trek roadbike out on the roads for a ride in the city. People do bike year-round no matter the conditions or temps.

21. I went on a quick mtb ride this morning.
I thought it was warmer than it was. i thought it was around 32*F before I got going. Turns out it was 16*F with 15 mph winds. "feels like 1*F" weather.com said. whoops. no wonder i felt so cold.
