Just had a group meeting where the boss mentioned the "R" word (recession) and how our new overlords (an overseas Pharma) has been laying off people, and cancelling projects that have been shifted to us. So we have to perform. On time. With good data. No pressure. He said he was trying to be positive! Jeebus.
Nothing like a good threat to your job (that I actually haven't been hired into YET) to start your week!!

From an overlord who didn't want to sign a cooperative agreement with another facility that would've put us in a more favorable position in the market. As it is now this other facility will most likely be a direct competitor thanks to this decision, with a potential cost well into the millions. :eyes:
Just once I would love to have a job that gave positive motivation rather and motivation by guilt or coercion.
