I feel like one of Cannikins borgs right now
I went to the Dr. today to get a 24 hour BP monitor put on...
I have a cuff on my arm attached with some sticky thing, a long grey
wire going across my back and over my shoulder
and a BP machine (small) about the size of a treo phone attached to my waist via a belt... every hour and 1/2 it goes off....
2 hours at night...

I didn't wear a turtle neck so I had this grey wire hanging out of my shirt at the store.....

ugh

2. I read it as "Cannabis Borg"
I guess I need a drink, or something.

Anyway, best of luck with the outcome.

"Sleeping with the brick", I remember it well.

:hi:

thanks for the luck....

I hate my BP taken on a good day...
it just seems so unnatural to have them squeeze the life out of your upper arm.....

3. I haven't had that one before. Kewl.
Next time, ask about the pH probe. For this test they insert a catheter into one nostril, down the esophagus and into the stomach. The other end of the catheter is ostentatiously taped to your nose, then snaked back behind one ear, down one side of your body, and is then attached to a portable gadget probably much like the BP monitor, also anchored around the waist with a belt. Hint: do NOT eat caramels while probe is in place; they may adhere to the catheter with unpleasant results e.g. bloody nose.

:P

Seriously, hang in there, the test will be over before you know it. When I wore the Holter Monitor (for monitoring heart rate) I went to... THE OLIVE GARDEN! and had pasta primavera, just to say Fuck You to the Establishment.

6. I'm doing very, very well i.e. I am cheerful as hell and have no
explanation for it. I've been cooking and cleaning and typing and waxing my mustache and doing all the little chores I've been putting off for the last six months. Maybe it's the fact that it's a bit warm, finally. How are you, other than the monitor?

I have ssooooo much to do here.. cleaning up and throwing away in a house that had 9 people living in it at one time, not to mention living here for 48 years......
so i have all that crap to clean out... my sis said she would come and help so maybe in the spring... :)
mood is meh.... it's a monthly thing  :silly:

looking forward to going away on Thursday but then again not looking forward to it....
oh and my sweet, wonderful, innocent daughter just emailed me and asked me if I was going to be home for stbx's 50th birthday next week and if so did I want to go to dinner!!!
I told her no problem...
maybe we can tell the kids then or maybe I will be "sick" who knows....

8. Those things with the STBE are uncomfortable, to say the least.
This Valentine's Day was the first holiday where mine did not make an attempt to get together "as a family, for the sake of the kids." Although it's another step away from what we once were, at this time (almost two years after the decision was made to separate) it was a relief in the form of absence of stress.

This is the change I've made in my life: I added the B vitamin complex two days ago. I can't believe the difference in how I feel and I'm thinking I need to read the label to see if there's an extra ingredient ("cocaine") added to the supplements. I've also been stone cold sober for almost two weeks but will remedy that tonight. :P

I'm sad to think about the house clear-out. I did that last May and it sucked rocks. My thoughts are with you, lost.
