Crocodile Hunter's Son Bitten By Baby Boa
NEW YORK -- Could it be another crocodile hunter in training?

Robert Irwin, the 4-year-old son of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin wasn't at all alarmed when he was recently bitten by a baby boa constrictor, according to his mother.

Irwin's widow, Terri, said Monday at an appearance at FAO Schwarz with her two children that he picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger. She said he was so proud to have "copped his first hit."

I have owned 2 boas and I can't count the times I have been bitten.
But big boas can give nasty bites as their teeth are razor sharp.

7. True. They Can. But Usually They Won't Attack That Aggressively.
I miss having boas actually. I used to love my baby columbians once upon a time.

11. I had Columbian boas as well, and never was bitten by them.
Now, mind you, they were just the common ones, not true red tails, or any other variety, which I believe tend to be more aggressive.

I always wanted to own a Dumeril's, but they were always too expensive; now they are relatively cheap, but I am no longer interested in keeping snakes. :(

14. Yes, at my peak I owned about ten (don't think my collection went up to 11;)
When I was a kid, I would spend my summers catching turtles and snakes. I've had many different kinds of herps; my last being a 6 foot Iguana I kept for a guy for about a year.

Now you listen here, missy. I cannot be held responsible for your pev status. It is always there; it's just that I am somehow able to liberate it from your inner self!

 :hi:

23. Wow! Celebrity nipples. It doesn't get any better than that!
But, upon reflection, is it just me, or is posing nekkid as a dead Hollywood icon seem a little creepy at the least, macabre at best?

It ruins the joy of the nipples. x(

2. I guess it's the only life that Terri Irwin knows. She has to support her children.

No use being judgmental. If he were my son, it definitely would not work for me.

I've learned my lesson in this forum. Keep out of discussions of other people's lifestyles and cultures. Especially what they are doing with their own children.

25. Animals are not toys
And certainly not toys for unsupervised four-year-olds. And yeah, I've been bitten too, and I probably deserved it.

I have mixed feelings about the Irwins, and their (Hunter Thompson) "Gonzo" approach to wildlife.

Not at all shocking, considering that seems to be the life she has chosen for both of her kids. Whatever floats your boat.

What a life to be born into... but they had a big family bond.

It was a tradition and an income.

8. Yeah, that would suck. Especially if you were afraid of heights.

But at least the Irwins seem to have an environmental bent to life. I could live with that.

10. I try to keep in mind that they live at a zoo! It sounds crazy to us
but is the norm for them! I wouldn't dare let my child play with a snake but I hate to judge them. I guess a kid could as easily get bitten by a dog or cat. At least it didn't constrict his neck!!!!
