I've said it before, I'll say it again: Was (Not Was) is a kick-ass live band.

I'm listening to a show they played last Wednesday, and they're just incredible. It's the first time they've performed with all three lead singers since 1992 (at least I think that's what they said). I know some people hate "Walk The Dinosaur", but it's not really representative of their entire output. Some amazing songwriting and playing. There's nothing like hearing some of the most amazing soul singers alive today singing the strange things that come out of the mind of David Was. I highly suggest catching one of their shows when they go on tour for their new album later this year.

(They just did a live mashup of "Superfly" and "Sunshine Superman," called, of course, "Sunshine Superfly.")

3. wish i'd gone to Cafe du Nord

but DH is kind of a stick in the mud when it comes to weirdness. i saw a set list on the W(NW) site... they did "I Blew Up The United States" which had the mashup with "Superfly" and "Sunshine Superman".

g-d, i love me some W(NW).
