Since I lost my Mom to breast cancer. She was 67. With her genes, she should have lived to 90.
Ladies, PLEASE get your mammograms. And if anything doesn't seem right, get them looked at by another radiologist!!!!

3. Early detection and second opinions |

My mom has a lot of cancer in her family, and she had two previous bouts with breast cancer over a 30 year period. She was VERY prompt and thorough in getting her blood panels and mammograms.
Turns out her radiologist missed something on her mammograms for three years. His receptionist slipped her the mammograms one day and told her to get another opinion. Three years lost where it could have been treated.
Never, never take just one doctor's word for anything when you're dealing with something that critical!

Yes, I agree. When it is so serious, get another opinion. Just to be sure.
