I said ^%$@#%$&#, Then I cried. Then I passed out |
|
All because I dropped a large can of spaghetti sauce on the top of my bare foot.
I don't think anything is broken, but my middle toes are all numb and there is a swollen semi-circle shaped bruise where I got hit by the bottom edge of the can.
Fun, fun, fun!

3. I went all woozy and dark a couple of times, yeah, but I fixed it by |
|
lying down on the couch and putting my feet up. (With a bag of frozen corn on my boo-boo. LOL)

It's funny how the most important bits of our bodies seem to be the most fragile. :\

4. I was very worried about it being broken because those bones are so |
|
delicate looking. But I can walk and everything so I must be ok.

5. Yeah, I had a similar fear a while back |
|
when I was trying to practice right turns on ice skates. I got into a fight with gravity halfway through... and gravity won. Smacked chin-first with all my weight behind it right on the ice. For a moment I was afraid I might have broken my chin... then I realized that I was capable of saying 'Ow', so I knew it couldn't be broken.
Sore as hell for a couple days though. :P

7. It actually hurt more at the hinge of the jaw |
|
and I was worried I might have damaged something there. The point of the jaw where it hit had a nasty bruise, but that only hurt when I touched it.

9. Sometimes it works the other way |
|
I once fell off a horse on my butt and figured I must have bruised my tailbone because it hurt like crazy but I could still walk and function.
Turns out I'd broken my back. :wow:
Hope you're okay.

12. Apparently, my spine compressed and caused a fracture |
|
The only reason I went to the ER was because I figured they'd give me some good pain pills.
All fine now - that was 9 years ago and it healed beautifully. Be good to your tootsie. :hi:

13. Yeah, I did mine in running for the bus to an away game. Went down on my fanny and slid partly under |
|
the bus steps. Needless to say, I was verrry uncomfy on that ride and cheering wasn't much fun either.

15. hey a bottle of shampoo falling on my foot in the shower cracked the big |
|
joint at the base of the big toe. Healed badly and then I reinjured it..and had to have my foot splinted so just keep an eye on it. RICE good treatment, Rest, Ice, Compression (if you did, if not,oh well) and Elevation

19. I've had several broken toes... |
|
Sometimes it's hard to tell if they're broken. I went to the ER the first time, but all they did was tape the broken toe to the next toe. Then they said "you can walk on it". Ouch.
