Any ambien add.. err takers? |
|
I take mine every night (In fact, I just took one half an hour ago, and feeling the effects) - but I gotta know - how many of you guys are having vivid dreams as a result?
I described about my thumb amputation dream the other day.

2. Yeah, I have vivid "dozing off" imagery |
|
I don't really know about dreams, per se, as I don't recall 'em. But that drifting off period is period is kind of interesting. Very cartoony.
But I find if I don't take it right as turning out the light, it doesn't work. It seems to create about a 10-20 minute window for me roughly 10 minutes after I take it. If I wind up having to get up for 30 minutes or so, it's like I didn't take it. But I also only take 1/2 a pill....

If my doctors would give it to me. Well I could just order it from another country if I want it that bad I guess but instead I take tylenol with dyphenhydromine. The few times I took Ambien I felt REALLY weird before I feel asleep, I can see how people would do stuff they don't mean to do.

6. How do you feel the next morning? |
|
I have not taken a sleeping aid for decades because it always felt like it took me until 3:00 in the afternoon to feel alert the next day. In other words, does it help you get a great night's sleep?

7. If taken correctly, yes. |
|
For example last night I was so exhausted, I just popped an Ambien and went to bed at 8:00pm last night, woke up the following day at 7:45, and feel refreshed and alert.

10. Ambien™ worked for exactly sixty days after my surgery than stopped |
|
I took a bunch of other sleep drugs with differing results, but luckily, my normal sleeping habits returned after my chemo routine ended.
Now, if you want vivid dreams, take Chantix™. I'm giving up the butts after forty years of smoking, and this new drug, Chantix™ has been a fantastic help. Four months tobacco free!
The dreams are the greatest part, I just love them. I never know where my mind is going to take me and what bazaar situations I am going to experience. At first the dreams were a little disturbing and somewhat dark, but after two weeks I really got into them and went with the flow when I discovered I could control the direction or intensity to some degree. I found I could also interrupt the dream and resume it at will. Wacky dreams, yes, but incredibly fun wacky dreams.

The only thing that worked was trazodone.
