Have you ever had a car in which something died? |
|
My Civic has been taking on the stench of some dead critter...probably a mouse that crawled up inside of it someplace and croaked. For the life of me, i can't find the source and it's becoming fairly unbearable. Nothing like driving home in a snowstorm with the windows wide open. :(

1. You´ll be lucky if it´s only a mouse, |
|
because if it´s a bigger critter, it will take forever to decompose.
Have your neighbor´s cat help you out on this one.

If you remove the glove box you will find a door that holds an air filter for the air system. Thats where it was. Check the owners manual if you need help finding that filter.

9. Among the things that have died in my various cars: |
|
Water pump Two alternators Head gasket Starter solenoid Timing chain Heater core
But no carbon-based life forms. The above were inconvenient but not malodorous.

but decomposed.
When I was 18, I found a cat skull, which I thought would look really cool in the back window of my '66 Chevy. (I planned to wire a red light inside it so the eyes would glow at night.)
It didn't occur to me that it might've been kinda fresh when I found it, or that in any case I should probably have soaked it in bleach or something.

died in my husbands pick up. Had a heart attack and his wife found him in the driveway the next morning.
 Kinda creeps me out, but doesn't bother my husband.

when my hubbie was in high school, one of his friends found a dead squirrel and put it in another friend's car. That squirrel traveled back and forth for a little while......
