2. That was in October, 1964
I'm pretty sure that was the month Detroit used to roll out its new line. Chevrolet was a major sponsor of "Bonanza," so there'd be a special episode every October with no commercial interruptions, but instead a commercial at the end about 10 minutes long with all the new Chevies. This is one of those.

Chevrolet was also a major sponsor of "Bewitched." Every season, Darrin got a new one.

4. Wow, that reminds me of when I was a kid.
I kinda miss those commercials. And it reminded me of how funny Dan Blocker was and how young he was when he died.:-(

6. Corny as corn can be.

'65 was an awful year for Chevy. Oldsmobile and Pontiac were kicking the crap out of them with 442 and GTO sales, the Chevy II was anemic and ugly, the Corvair on the way out, and the 427 wasn't available yet. Just a rehashed 409 and 396 in the Impala and a 396/425 in the Corvette.

The tires and handling just sucked across the lineup. And even though gas was 25 cents a gallon for regular (19 cents on some days) no one even thought about gas millage.

And yes, October was ALLWAYS new car introduction month.
