Your dogs probably do this but it cracks me up how she gets so excited when you pick up the leash.

1. I have a 70 lb
standard poodle who goes bezerko when you get the leash. Or say the word CAR, especially combined with the word GO.

2. Heck, they watch how I dress and know the difference between
different types of clothes it seems (in house vs. dog walk vs. go to work).

Have to spell CAR, WALK, OUT, OUTSIDE if I'm not ready to go out very soon!

3. Yes... mine do too!
They get "sad" when I come downstairs in work clothes.... and act all happy when I put on "stay home" clothes.

They are amazing. We have to spell in front of our dogs, too.

8. They rely heavily on context.
Dogs have a way of adding up all the signals to figure out what's going on.

Dogs can be pretty smart to varing degrees, but when there's tasty food involved, they become geniuses.

9. Ya know, all the dogs I had were smart, but...
why couldn't they figure out that if you went back around THE OTHER WAY they could unwind the rope from the pole?
