grr... after four days, my new heating pad is busted |
|
the bf picked one up Friday night to help with my back.
Now the high heat light just flashes nonstop. I checked the brochure that came with it, and it said to check the cord for damage, if it keeps flashing, discontinue use. There's no damage anywhere. I've done nothing to it except plug it in and hold it against my back.
Grrr... things suck.

1. I had a heating blanket that snuffed it after a month. |
|
Since I don't use gas, I thought electric would be cheaper.
Uh, no... not when it's $60 per blanket, 6 blankets per year at that rate...

2. I've had two electric blankets - both went kaput |
|
within 6 months. Probably used them no more than 20 times each.

3. Planned obsolescence. Irritating as all get out. |

I bought a new crock pot in October for a teacher soup luncheon, (mainly because with the kitchen being redone, I couldn't find the old one)
The latch for the top broke off, so I need to use a pliers to open it. :eyes:

4. Oh, that's ridiculous. |
|
He bought it not even a week ago...and it's already fucking up?
Definitely take that piece of shit back to the store and get your money back.
Sorry to hear your back is still bothering you. :-(

says not to return it to the store - you're supposed to go through sunbeam's warranty process, whatever that is.
I'm pissed - a $20 heating pad that works for four days. :(

old things still work. New things suck.
My mother had the same vacuum cleaner for 35 years - only gave it up because it was metal and heavy and she wanted a lighter one.
She had a freezer that she bought used, and SHE used it for at least 20 years.
It's amazing how conditioned we are to just accept that things break down that didn't break down 50 years ago.

8. We only have the old-school hot water bottle thingies. |
|
They work pretty good, but you have to keep refilling them.
