What online forums do you frequent other than DU?

I like DU; have been here 3 years. But I realize I need something more.

Seeking forums about personal interests, such as travel, fiction books, etc. Or where you can ask for input regarding problems in RL, such as the thread here about the friend who won't leave, or problems with one's relatives, SO, etc.

Any suggestions?

I used to be a frequent poster on the Smallville boards and a couple others years ago but now I mostly hang out in the basement threads and lurk more than I post. The show threads are way too frightening.

I have fewer than 300 posts and 2 warnings. I actually can't follow all their freaking rules, it's complete insanity. One was for opening a thread in the wrong format, after I'd gotten permission to post the thread! I still read the recaps but rarely go on the forums anymore. I used to post on the Smallville forums a lot, back in the day.

41. Yeah, I stopped watching it the Lois season (3 or 4?). The show got so stupid.

The whole reason I was watching was the hoyay, and once Evil!Lex became a caricature because they wouldn't fucking write him as a complex, real character (despite Michael Rosenbaum's admirable efforts in that direction), it was pointless. Although I hear there was still some eyefucking going on, even after they were total Enemies ForEVAH.

but I used to spend time over at http://www.atforumz.com/ It has a wide range of forum topics and most people over there are pretty cool. Other Interesting Topics is where there is the most general discussion.

It is the most populated and we talk about all kinds of subjects other than Phish. The political discussions are pretty good and it is mostly inhabitied by young people so it is nice to tell them what they need to know. Plus, I love the fact that there is opposing viewpoint there. Gives an opportunity to see into the mind of the enemy.

chowhound.com A food site for people who love food. The kind of person that gets his hamburger at one place and then drves across town to get the fries. there are boards for everywhere you want to go and some other food related boards. If you are travellling, it is the best resource for food reccos on the net.

I use tribe.net for my myspace like site. Lots of music and politics over theere.

I also go on the jazzFest forum & the High Sierra Music festival forum pretty regularly.

38. I got hooked on forums through ParentsPlace...

back before iVillage took it over and ran it into the ground. Though truth be told it probably wasn't as great as I thought it was at the time. It did managed to fill my day at a boring job though.

I've tried a few other forums besides DU but nothing seems to stick. Not that I have time to be doing this anyway. Bad girl!
