How do you take a screenshot? |
|
I've never done it before but want to now - for a webpage. b/c I found something really funny in a youstupidasshole sort of way.
I use a mac - I assume that might matter. (and the mac forum is asleep, so don't tell me to ask there.)

Then open MS Paint (Or another Photo editing program of your choice) and Past it there (CTRL + V). Save.
Edited for technical correctness because I'm a tool and Primate1 was kind enough to point it out.

5. Actually it's just Print Screen. |
|
Ctrl+Print Screen if you want just the window that is in focus.

6. and b/c of you all, I found an even simpler way!! |
|
-- well, okay for me... ... dunno about others.
for mac users, go to utlitiles and select "grab" - drag the icon to your dock. go to the page you want to grab, click on the grab icon, and then go to the grab toolbar and select what kind of capture, full screen, selection, etc. after that, you just click anywhere on the page you want to grab and it opens as a separate window - and you can save it.
maybe that's alot for others, but now you know why I'm a mac user. :freak:
smooches all around. you guys are soooo much better than gd-p. someone pull me back if I go there again. okay, have to do some stuff, damnit

10. Another reason why Macs are superior |
|
Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause are replaced with F13, F14, and F15. Clearly superior.

13. What Temeah said above in post # 11. |
|
And I really recommend you download a copy of "Grab". It's quick, it's free, and it's more versatile than the built in screenshot function.

that's what I used b/c when I did the control/command/shift thing (or the 3 one) it didn't work for me. I thought it might be one of the function keys, but not which one.
But thank you! I still haven't finished the crap I'm supposed to be doing (while watching project runway) but I want to post the stuff from this screen shot b/c a right wing fundie site thought a parody site supported their position...and in fact parts of it look like they were lifted, not quoted, from the humor site. (Tho he did link to the site at the end.) And this is one of their authoritative voices, but the guy is too stupid to know when a source is making fun of him. Oh, and he's one of the swift boat jerk offs.

20. Apple-Shift-3 for the whole screen. |
|
Or Apple-Shift-4 and then select the area you want to capture.
