Heheheh... when it's just me, all I ever make is one course meals. I'm so lazy! If the kids are over, I'll make a real meal.. otherwise - lazytime! I'm just not inspired enough to put in the effort.
Yum... cookies. :9
I don't know what I'll end up eating. Tuna helper, probably. Or some kind of microwave stuff. Super appetizing stuff, I know!

6. this isn't really "cooking" though |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 07:11 PM by MissMillie
hash browns from the freezer section with a couple of ham steaks cut up and added in. I also added garlic and green onion and a few crushed red pepper flakes.
tasty enough... took about 15 minutes. Dirt cheap too.
I'll eat the leftovers for breakfast w/ scrambled eggs on Saturday.

11. Sounds like cookin to me! |
|
For me, not cooking = open, place in microwave, push buttons, wait. :)
I have some frozen home fries I haven't worked up the courage to try fixin. When I try to make them from potatoes, all the tasty part ends up stuck to the pan.
:banghead:
I scrape it off as best I can, but still. :P

I've never had ham hash, but it sounds yummy!! You make it with potatoes and green onions?

29. yes, frozen hash browns |
|
green onions, garlic, a little crushed red pepper flakes, and ham steak all cut up. Brown it all up in a skillet w/ some vegetable oil.
I do the same thing with hot dogs too.... just something quick and easy for a night when I'm tired and want to be done w/ dinner and dishes early.

7. Hey, at least you get 4 or 5 responses |
|
I'm lucky to get two.
I have a craving for a bacon guacamole cheeseburger but I'll probably resist since I need to get a cholesterol test done Friday. I kind of want to go out, but can't decide what I want -- other than the aforementioned burger.

I've been craving a hamburger all day. Now, I know that's not a good idea, so I'll probably make some chicken instead.
If all goes well, I can have the hamburger tomorrow. ;)

I had some kind of stuffed sole and a corn/bean salad my mother-in-law made for dinner. Apple pie for dessert. I think I'd rather have your cookies. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4794594&mesg_id=4794594 I was so trying to get my ass handed to me and NADA.

31. Our kitchen is like a diner tonight. |
|
For two days I've been cooking the grass-fed beef from our defunct freezer. Tonight you I gave Mr. D the choice of meat loaf, spaghetti & meat sauce with pesto sauce added, chili, Frito pie, hash (diced top round roast, potatoes, onions & fat-free gravy), turkey buritos, stew meat and vegetables in beer/fire roasted tomato gravy. He chose meat loaf and I'll serve it with garlic mashed potatoes, salad and Rosemont shiraz wine. Still have six marinating roasts to cook. We're going to get a small chest freezer tomorrow, not big enough to hold half a cow but big enough to hold all the food I'm cooking. Have to find a place for it, however. The dead freezer was in a shed and I wonder if the mice killed it. They've been known to do a number on the innards of a car.

which is Portuguese kale soup. I make it vegetarian, without the chorizo sausage. On a cold February night, it's heavenly with sesame semolina bread.
