Flavors of Ice Cream
What's your favorite? What's the best you ever tasted? Worst?

I tasted one that was sort of like pennies. Not so good. :hi:

That would be the politically astute thing to do.

21. That one's way up there on my list
Along with "Wavy Gravy". You gotta love B&J's names, along with their politics: "Cherry Garcia", "Americone Dream" and "Karamel Sutra".

And their ice cream is pretty damned good as well.

I once tried some red bean ice cream in a PanAsian restaurant. I think I'll pass next time: it wasn't horrible, but it was far too bland.

7. reese's peanut butter cup ice cream
which I'm about to eat now :hi: :D

Also, cookies & cream...plain vanilla, vanilla bean, french vanilla, cookie dough (no chocolate chips!), um.....

Ones I don't like = anything with nuts. Mint chocolate chip is annoying. I love the ice cream flavor, but hate chocolate chips in my ice cream. They are too cold and hard and get stuck in my teeth :( Also dislike any ice cream with fruit in it. Blech.

Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 03:27 PM by mtnester
Jeni's ice cream in the North Market, Columbus, Ohio. Each year I watch her shop, and her site, and when it is ready I go in with a cooler and buy a hoard full (year's worth)

She ships her flavors nationwide, some are truly seasonal (I got me two pints of blackberry sweet corn hidden from the hubs in the fridge) and some are weekly, or experiments, or regular staples. I love going on Sunday and getting tastes then deciding what to get in a full size serving. When she makes her banana chocolate gelato..oh glory!

For the record, hubby has his favorite in the freezer as as well...Salty Caramel

Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 04:37 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
1. Sweet cream ice cream from most specialty shops. No flavoring, just cream and sugar. :7

2. Two Japanese flavors: green tea and black sesame. The black sesame looks like wet cement, but I love it.

3. Any combination of coffee and chocolate, preferably with nuts. Or just chocolate. Or just coffee.

4. Maple nut

I intensely dislike rum raisin or anything with a strong almond flavoring (which tastes nothing like roasted almonds; go figure.) I also avoid ice creams with fruit in them, if possible.
