Did anybody catch the guys last night?

I would like to know what other people thought about David Archuleta. Singing "Imagine". I cried when he sang it, it was beautiful.

I weep every time I hear that song, it is that lovely.

But, I have to wonder with Randy as to why he didn't sing the first verse. Did he worry that he would be too controversial?

I tend to be resistant to change so actually for all these covers I can't help but feel they pale against the originals.

But yeah, David dill very well. He made Paula cry!!!

19. I hated his version of the song.

Really, really hated it. Hated it with the heat of a 1000 suns. Hated it enough that I left the room half way through. He took one of the best songs ever written and turned it into a cheap cruise ship song. If ANY other guy on the show would have done that to that song, the judges would have killed them, but all "I won star search and had all the idol producers whoring me around for a record contract" gets from Simon is that it was "risky."

Oh, and I hated it. Did I mention that?

I don't think the singer you mentioned will go home. There are about three blondes who are totally indistinguishable, IMO.

I also watched the men. I agree, David Archuleta is amazing. I also like the other two Davids (Cook and Hernandez). I think the men are generally better singers this year.

that girl was horrible. Ok, I don't care much for the song anyway, and I am all for interesting outfits, but I have to wonder what she was thinking.

She sounded bad, she looked like Elvira Stardust (and not in a good way) playing a show in Atlantic City, and ugh. utter crap.

when I accidentally flip to it, I am always reminded why I hate this show.

I saw the clip at the end as they showed the phone numbers, and thought it was pretty good UNTIL I saw it on YouTube today. It was so awful! I don't think that she's that bad normally, but it was not a good song choice for her at all.

I loved the update of Me and Mrs. Jones. I thought Syesha did a really great job on that.

And I can't stand the Britney impersonator.
