11. amazing, isn't it?
in 20 years, Jackson has managed to make, and then blow, something significantly north of a billion dollars. Still, the Apple catalog was a brilliant investment, he paid $47 million in 1985 and it is now worth, in toto, about $500m. He sold half to Sony in the early nineties for about $100m, and is rumoured to have mortgaged the rest for up to $250m. the catalog generates about $100m/year in income. the only reason he isn't flat broke is that he should have refinanced along with everyone else in the early 2000s.

oh, and before anyone plunks down too much cash for Neverland, people should understand it costs about $2m/month to maintain...

12. So Neverland will be another foreclosure statistic I suppose
and does that $2mil include the cost of running the amusement park and animal care, plus keeping the wine cellar filled with Jesus Juice?

8. Anyone know if it's true...
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 05:35 PM by Mike03
that there is a shorter version of the Disneyland ride "Pirates of the Caribbean" at Jackson's ranch? My sister told me that years ago, but I've never been able to verify it.

9. Twenty five million....
You know it might be worth it. Not only will visitors pay to see it for the freak factor, but it sounds like it might actually be a nice place. Just for the real estate value alone, could be profitable.
