1. I am in May,,,for those who already have....
Does anything weird/bad happen to your body on the big day? I already have gray and wrinkles. Just wonder if they get a lot worse all of the sudden.

5. No, but 50 is the new 40!
Just watch out in ten years!

I passed the milestone three years ago. I don't feel a day over 49.

6. I turned 50 in September- I wasn't happy about it. But - so far during my 50th year, I have...
hopped on a plane for an 8 day vacation in Greece (went solo and had a blast!), paid off my condo (almost) and quit my job after being miserable for 2 years and after working there for 7 (starting a new job next momth).

Did I expect my life to be different at this point when I was younger? You bet. I thought by now I'd be married, have teen aged kids, be living in a nice house somewhere, etc. But, that's not what happened- I made different choices. Did I have mixed emotions about what it means to turn 50? You bet. I was totally freaked out about it- after all, 50 is like-- SO OLD. But, I feel good, I'm healthy, look 40 and-- considering the other options, I've decided to celebrate instead!
