Listen to this bullshit. This girl I went on a few dates with months ago (But it never worked out, but we still chat) and I were texting each other the other day. She mentioned cutting work and going to movie or getting a beer. I texted back, "Wanna? I can." But I never heard back. So, I just figured she couldn't. Turns out she didn't get the message until two in the morning on Wednesday night. She assumed I was trying to get with her, we never even kissed when we went out, and she got all offended. So she sent me a text back that said, "Ewww, gross." But, I got that at nine am. So, I asked what she meant and never got an explaination. So, last night we were texting and I used the word "gross" a couple times cause I was still trying to figure out why she sent me a text at nine am that said that.
So, She calls me out of nowhere at like midnight and starts bitching me out for all this. And accuses me of trying to send her a booty call and saying, "I thought you were a nice guy, but I guess I was wrong... blah blah blah." And I'm trying to explain this is a misunderstanding and she wouldn't listen to me. So, I got home and just put it all in a facebook message. But, at the end I got tired of writing and just said, "I'm done justifying myself to you. Take it or leave, I don't need this shit in my life."

Women might be the gentler sex, but they certainly aren't the simpler sex....;-)

To the OP, some women have had bad experiences with men that make them very suspicious of motives. It sounds like this has less to do with you than with her own personal issues.
Certainly not all of us are quite like that. Hell, I'm so used to being "one of the boys" so to speak with male platonic friends, that I'd be flattered to find out one felt desire for me, even if I didn't return the feeling....:shrug:
