2. I agree. Much of what Parche posted I don't consider Genesis,
but some kind of abomination recorded by the guys who didn't have the integrity to change their band's name when they utterly changed the music.

5. Many others feel the same way.
It's reflected in the "Fountain of Salmacis" comments on YouTube - this whole adult contemporary turn was a mistake.

6. Completely agree
Saw them on tour right after Gabriel left and was deeply disappointed. Never bought another album.

3. I have a Genesis confession to make
Until tonight I had never once heard a Genesis track that pre-dated the "Duke" album.

10. "Supper's Ready" was awesome.
But, the whole Lamb album was my favorite. That CD just takes you somewhere else. It is amazing.

7. I also prefer the Genesis with Peter Gabriel.
I suppose that all depends on when you started listening to them. My first 8 track of theirs was Selling England By the Pound and I also think The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is some of their finest work. However, Wind and Wuthering wasn't a bad post-Gabriel album and Seconds Out is my favorite CD of theirs, also without Gabriel. Here's my favorite Genesis song of all time:

8. I prefer Genesis

with Phil but that is probably because of my age and I'm a gal. My husband, well to me, is the spiting image of Collins. Been going strong for 20 years and a few kids, so lust isn't a bad thing.

I love duchess and actually took some of the words to post on my daughters H.S. yearbook page because she wants to be an actress.
Thanks for all the links.

Some links for you from that last tour.

13. Fundamentalist Christians believe every word that Genesis says
I don't even think Phil Collins is a good drummer.

(Sorry ... I heard that joke on the History Channel a couple of weeks ago, and it's been popping into my head ever since )
