3. Some horrible "low carb" beer we bought at the beach
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 02:42 PM by libnnc
It was brewed in Milwaukee -- I'd never heard of it and I can't remember what the name of it is (started with an "H"). I just remember it came in a white can and it tasted like fizzy water. :puke: we poured most of it out. Nasty stuff.

people might read "coors light" in here and think, "Oh, that's just DS1. He obviously hasn't lived much, or drank many beers if he thinks coors light is the worst".

But I have drank many different beers, and sometimes the same beer many times. Coors Light it really is the worst beer I've ever had. Which is why they serve it ice cold, so you can't taste it. Even when it's actually starting a form a skin of ice over the top, it's still the worst beer in the world.

Oddly, I bought some only on a recommendation by Playboy. Someone wrote a review of "other" beers years ago, before the ubiquity of microbreweries, and rated this one the best.

33. The worst beer in the world is endemic to the Pacific Northwest
None of y'all have ever heard of Lucky Lager, and every day you should thank your chosen deity that this is so.

Lucky Lager is the only beer I have ever experienced that tastes like it's been open for a week the day you get it from the store. In the 1970s when I was twelve, I used to get sent into the store to pick up Luckies for my dad. They'd sell them to me, no problem--they KNEW I wasn't going to drink the shit.

You know the Surgeon General's Warning they put on alcoholic beverages? In the case of Lucky Lager, it needs to say "the Surgeon General has determined that this beer is not fit for human consumption."

59. PBR is okay
It's sort of like the generic beer in Repo Man. It's cheap and it's mild and it's low enough in alcohol that you can drink it reliably all night without your friends having to carry you out; it works nicely as a "session beer"*.

60. Pabst, Schlitz, Coors...
...any of those beers that sound more like a Batman sound effect than a beverage are pretty dire.

The one I hate the most, however, is Carlsberg Special Brew. It's 8.5% alcohol (which makes it practically barley-wine strong), and tastes like the syrup regular beer is made from. It gives you a hangover that makes you want to eat your own head off, too.

BBBA = From the makers of other fine brews such as Bud, Bud Light and Busch. It tasted like Bud Light with suntan lotion squirted into it.

Amber Bock is nothing like what its title implies. It's just a bitter version of Bud Light with some dark food coloring in it.
