The chimpanzee is very young. Police have reason to suspect that the chimpanzee may have recently been a human being who was a member of discussion board Democratic Underground and then died and got reincarnated as a chimpanzee. It is suspected that the chimpanzee had previously opposed policies of the Bush Administration and tried to enter the White House with hostile intentions.

Some observers suggested that the chimpanzee may have been merely trying to visit a relative, but police investigations have established that the young chimp who escaped from the zoo is not a close relative of the current occupant of the White House.
