1. Ah well, .....NO, that's not how the movie ends. |
|
I assuming that you're recording cuts out as they have Anthony Hopkins in the courtroom with his new lawyer. When Ted Crawford and Ryan Gossling's character have their final conversation, Crawford nearly admits to the hotshot prosecutor that he shot his wife and the state can't try him again due to double jeopardy. Well, Gossling informs him that he is going to be tried on new charges AND new evidence which means a NEW TRIAL, something Crawford had not planned on. He expected to get away with it and that would be that. The final scene shows the Gossling and Hopkins in the courtroom accompanied by his new defense lawyer and the trial is just getting started. The cops and the prosecutor were able to get Crawford in court again and this time Crawford did not have the advantage of a well thought-out scheme.

3. Yes, that was the actual end to that film. |
|
The whole point was that they dragged him back into court again, and this time he did not get to create confusion or make the prosecution look like a bunch of fools.
I gave Ryan Gossling and Anthony Hopkins, pretty high marks for that movie. I personally thought it should have done better.

It doesn't sound like I missed more than a few seconds then.
I thought they did well, too. The movie probably came up a little short because of poor directing. There were a couple of scenes I would have re-shot (is that the word?). But I am no expert. One scene, that was crucial to the movie, was really messed up by Hopkins... toward the end, when his British accent took over. OVerall, it was a pretty good movie.
Thanks again! :hi:
